Mary Rose Betten is a retired character actress. Her published plays include: Mary M., People Of The Passion, Becoming Alleluia, and with the LA Playwrights at the Mark Taper: The Bar Off Melrose available through Samuel French. Her chapbooks of poetry: Hanging Out With Loose Words, The Prodigal Son’s Mother: nominated for Calif. Book Award and The Pen Prize and voted book of the month by Finishing Line Press. Her book of poems: Finding Your Best Angle subtitled: Give This To An Actor was nominated for The Pushcart Prize. She teaches on the faculty of A Room Of Her Own at Ghost Ranch, and gives dialogue workshops in the Santa Barbara area. She won The Writer magazines Poetry Spotlight.
